A new UHF repeater is operational in the Grand Valley, and what makes it special is that it is dedicated for data-modes experimentation! You can try VaraFM, packet, SSTV, fldigi, or any other soundcard data mode through the machine.
The repeater is still in beta testing, so expect that levels may change as the repeater is adjusted for best performance over the coming weeks.
Your Receive Freq: 447.300
Your Transmit Freq 442.300 (standard 5mhz negative offset)
PL Tone 103.5
Feel free to coordinate your testing/playing by talking to a friend on voice over the repeater, but expect numerous, varied data transmissions at any time. Some data modes detect traffic and wait, others do not. So, please listen for existing traffic before transmitting.
Note: the AE0WZ-10 Winlink Gateway is now on the repeater frequency. If you experiment with VaraFM, you may ping and autotune to AE0WZ-10.
Contact Keri N2KNK or Bill K0DZ with questions, observations and suggestions.
