D-STAR Reflector for Area Hams

Posted on April 12, 2020

Hi, this is John, WJ0NF.

If you have a D-Star capable radio, I would like to invite you to use a new reflector I have setup, XRF144B.  I created this Reflector so that WCARC members and area Hams could have a place to sit and rag chew without worrying about tying up someone else’s Reflector.XRF144B-Users-Screen

The Reflector has a website where you can see what is currently happening.  http://wj0nf.johnnyf.us  The Users page, default page, shows you a list of those people that have connected and the last time they were heard.  This is updated live as people connect and speak to each other.

XRF144B-Repeaters-ScreenThe Repeaters page shows any Repeaters that are currently connected as well as any Hot Spots that are connected.  In this case you can see that my Nano Hot Spot, WJ0NF-B, is connected and operating on 70cm.  It also shows the last time it transmitted and how long it has been linked to the repeater.

If you have a D-Star radio, please add XRF144B to your list of Reflectors and feel free to refer others there so you can enjoy the hobby.  If you want to test and there is no one active, please drop me an email and we can pick a time to check your radio and have a rag chew.  Also, if you do use the Reflector, drop me an email and let me know how it goes.  I have only used it a few times now but so far, it has worked well.

I would be happy to see club members on the Reflector but it is open to any licensed Ham.  I would like to see it be a place for Hams on the Western Slop to get together and enjoy the hobby.

73, John, WJ0NF
