Hi. Hope this posting finds you all Healthy and in Good Spirits.
President Brad Chesnut, AK0BC, reported that the On-The-Air club meeting on 4-11-20 was a big success. We had an excellent check-in with 44 people. I believe that is better than the average meeting attendance. As usual, the club meeting ran from 9:30 to about 11am.
Normal club business topics were discussed as well as, you guessed it, COVID-19. There was also discussion about the special event that is supposed to happen in Fruita. There has been no decision made on if we will still be doing that in person. However, some discussion has been had about creating a schedule where members can host the special event station at their QTH at specific times and specific bands. More information will follow so keep an eye on the club website for more details.
Field Day is still planned for the same location on Divide Road in the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area.  There is always the chance that current events will require us to make changes but we are hoping it will be Radio Fun as usual.  If any changes do need to be made, we will announce that here as soon as we can.
Please continue to check the club website for updates about next months club meeting, special events and any other related news. We hope that you stay Safe and Healthy as we work our way through this global issue. Please remember to participate in the club nets and use the repeaters to stay in touch. This is a good opportunity to check on your fellow hams and put some more life into the club. The D-Star Reflector XRF144B is up and another good place to hang out.
