How D Everyone. Hope you are all staying healthy and getting on the air.
This months meeting will be a Swap Meet at the First Christian Church at 1326 N 1st St, Grand Junction, CO 81501. You can setup your tailgate display starting at 8am and the event is official open at 9am. It will be open till 1 or 2pm, depending on the turn out.
There will NOT be any inside event this year. It will be strictly tailgating. There is no fee for admission to the event but there will be a $5 fee for anyone wanting to sell items. Once again we ask that you only bring radio hobby related items. Leave that old toaster at home! There will be coffee and donuts for sale but we will not be serving any lunch this year.
Lets make it a bit of a social event as well. I encourage everyone to bring a lawn chair so we can sit in informal groups, with social distancing and catch up on what we have been doing and what is happening in the Ham Radio World. Let’s get away from politics and covid for a day and talk about current projects, new to you purchases, the new IC-705, the FCC proposing to charge for licensing and radio issues we could use some help with.
